Did you know that using the four temperaments (or types) to understand children goes back as far as Steiner of Waldorf? Immanuel Kant (1724–1804), Rudolf Steiner (1861–1925), Alfred Adler (1879–1937), Erich Adickes (1866–1925), Eduard Spranger (1914), Ernst Kretschmer(1920), and Erich Fromm (1947) all theorized on the four temperaments (with different names) and greatly shaped our modern theories of temperament.
Here's an online personality test you can do to try to determine your child's personality. Here's a printable Child Temperament Sorter. http://www.parentingbytemperament.com/Early child (4 to 8) Here

Rohm is a PhD-level psychology expert who co-authored two D-I-S-C personality 4-type system PARENTING books; both Jane Segerstrom and Harriet McJimsey's style books were college textbooks; Belle Northrup was a university professor who wrote a book about costume; Suzanne Caygill is famous for her television show, from teaching her Caygill 4-type style system, and because several students in her lineage have famous books on style.
